About the project

Project Conservation, revitalization and digitization of the Baroque interior of the Gothic cathedral in Świdnica was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the 8th axis Protection of cultural heritage and development of cultural resources of the Infrastructure and Environment Program 2014 – 2021. The work was co-financed by the City of Świdnica. The remaining funds were provided by the cathedral parish in Świdnica, supported by people of good will.

The works were carried out by Firma Konserwatorska Piotr Białko Zabytki Malarstwa, Rzeźby, Architektury Sp. z o. o. from Cracow. The scope of work included conservation of wall paintings in the nave and the chancel with a total area of 2,713.6 m2, conservation of 14 paintings with frames from the walls of the nave and 9 figures placed on pillars. Conservators, artists and technicians of various specialties participated in the project, as well as scientists, researchers and multimedia specialists invited to cooperate.
